How to install a reverse osmosis system
Whoever does it, a Hydra install is the same five steps. It's routine plumbing, and because the Hydra is tankless there's no tank to find room for.
- Shut off the cold water under the sink and fit the inlet tee to the valve.
- Stand the Hydra in the cabinet and connect the tubing to its labeled fittings.
- Clamp the drain line to the sink drain with the included saddle clamp.
- Mount the Hydra faucet beside your kitchen faucet.
- Turn the water back on, check every connection for drips, and run the 30-minute rinse.

Yes. The Hydra comes with every part and a step-by-step installation guide, and most kitchens take about 45 minutes. An adjustable wrench and a pair of scissors for the tubing, plus a towel or bucket for drips. Teflon tape, tubing and every fitting come in the box. You only need a drill with a hole saw bit if there is no spare sink hole for the faucet.
Space in the sink cabinet, a cold water shut-off valve that works, a power outlet in or near the cabinet (the Hydra is electric), and a spare sink hole for its faucet or permission to drill one.
Yes. If there's no spare hole for the Hydra faucet, drilling one in your sink or countertop is included in the $1,250 professional installation. After you order, we reach out to you to schedule the visit.
